DESCRIPTION

Converted proven concept of vaccum drawing and flushing of powder by compressed air from semi automatic to fully automatic to avoid manual handling of container and achieving the speed without loosing the conceptual high degree of accuracy for uniform density injectable powders.

OPERATION

The sterile powder placed in the powder hopper is thoroughly agitated by a pair of agitators for maintaining uniform bulk density of powder before it is drawn by vaccum in to the port of the powder wheel.

During the vaccum, port of the rotating powder wheel draws the meausred volume of powder and indexes further, where the excess powder is doctored off. The powder remains in the port due to the vaccum till the indexed port of the powdered wheel reaches the vertical position.

Vials fed on to the built-in-scrambler is continuously transferred on to the conveyor, where vial separators hold the vial perfectly below the port of the powder wheel.

Now the timed dose of of the low pressure sterile air/inert gas empties powder into the automatically positioned container from the port of powder wheel.

The vial separators now release the vial on the exit conveyor.

SALIENT FEATURES

All the parts and the assemblies coming in the contact with the power are made of SS 3156 and are easily removable for mandatory sterilization / autoclaving.
All exposed parts are either made of SS 304 or hard chrome plated or aluminium, confirming to the latest GMP standards.
The unit can be easily placed under the vertical laminar flow.
The elevated conveyor ensures no entry of powder inside the machine. Further, the unit is built on SS Square pipe frame to avoid any rusting and corrosion and made easy for absolute cleaning even from inside of machine. Further, the unit is provided with Elecon gear box and Bharat Bijlee/NGEF motor.
High degree of accuracy of +-1% can be achieved for most free flowing powders of uniform density, at controlled relative humidity level.
The depth of port of the powder wheel i.e. fill size can be very easily set or changed with the different size of pistons.
Micro switch & solenoid valve system ensures 'no vial, no fill'.
Each port is numbered to check the accuracy and ease of micro adjustment.
The height of the powder filling station can be raised or lowered to take care of different height of vial by a simple jack arrangement.
The unit is provided with a neat control panel, gauges & pressure adjustment knob for observing smooth standard operating procedure.
The unit is entirely on ball bearings, synthed bushes & provided with variable pitch pulley drive for long trouble free life & ease of operation.

CHANGE PARTS

THE BASIC UNIT FITTED WITH PARTS, SUITABLE FOR ANY ONE SIZE OF VIAL AND POWDER FILL SIZE

IN THE EVENT OF CHANGE OVER OF EACH VIAL SIZE AND FILL SIZE, FOLLOWING CHANGE PARTS WILL BE REQUIRED :

POWDER WHEEL : Two different sizes of eight port powder wheels are available to cover wide range of fill size capacity from 50mg. to 1.5grams. (Any one powder wheel fitted with the basic unit.)

The set of piston gives adjustment range of +-10% of fill size for given volume, beyond the range a set of piston (eight nos.) of different sizes is required to cover the total range of powder wheel. (Any one piston set fitted with the basic unit).
